If you are trying to figure out what Weapon(s)/Job(s) your Characters should use, one factor you might want to consider, besides the Characters Stats, is Combo Animation Speed. Obviously, if a Character’s Combo Animation Speed is faster, the faster they can Attack again after a Combo, and if its slower, then it will take longer for them to Attack after a Combo. Regular Attack Speeds (where you only land one hit) rely on a very complicated formula to calculate the Speed of each Weapon’s Attack and relies on things like the Character’s Speed Stat as well. This is different with Combo Animation Speeds, and I am not going to bore you with long complicated math formulas, I am just going to give you a very non-complicated explanation of each and every Character’s Combo Animation Speed with each Melee Weapon Type (except Rods and Staves as they are pretty much just used for boost to Magick,) so it will be easy for you to understand. However, while this may be one factor you use to determine which Weapon(s)/Job(s) you want your Characters to use, it shouldn’t be the only factor. You should also take into consideration the Character’s Stats. Sometimes, picking a slower option may be more beneficial for the increased Damage you will be using because of the Character’s better Stat. Thats why I will be including which Stat(s) will effect Weapon Damage in this Guide. I hope you find this helpful. Enjoy.
