Link’s Awakening – All Golden Leaves Locations

To get the Slime key for the Key Cavern Dungeon in Link’s Awakening you have to find all golden leaves. In the Pothole Field you can find Richard the former King of Kanalet Castle who gives you the task of finding all 5 golden leaves. To enter Kanalet Castle you must have started the Trade quest and traded the dog food for the bananas. Give the bananas to Kiki the monkey at the eastern wall of Kanalet castle and the monkeys will build a bridge.

First Golden Leaf

On the eastern side of the castle you find an enemy who throws bombs at you. Kill him to get the first golden leaf.

Second Golden Leaf

On the western side of the castle you can see a crow sitting on a tree. Pick up a rock and throw it against that tree. The crow will attack you, kill it to get the second golden leaf.

Third Golden Leaf

Go inside Kanalet Castle and defeat all the monsters in the first screen to get the third golden leaf.

Fourth Golden Leaf

Inside Kanalet Castle you will find a room with to walls with a crack. Buy bombs in Mabe Village and bomb the left crack in the wall. A soldier will appear, defeat the soldier to get the fourth golden leaf.

Fifth Golden Leaf

In the last room inside Kanalet castle you will find a the ball and chain soldier. Defeat him to get the fifth and last golden leaf.
